One Infinity, Summoned Future Memory
오 하나 인피니티, 소환된 미래 기억
《비인과적 연결 원리, 작은 새가 내게 말했다》는 인간과 자연, 과거와 현재, 그리고 무의식 속 감정의 파편들이 어떻게 서로 얽혀 있는지를 탐색하는 작업이다.
송창애 작가의 작업은 단순한 형상의 재현이 아닌, 무의식 속에서 비인과적으로 연결된 사건들의 정서적 기억과 심리적 흔적을 형상화한다. 작가에게 있어 시간은 인과적으로 흐르지 않으며, 과거와 현재, 미래는 동시적으로 중첩된다. 이는 작가가 말하는 ‘심음’의 개념 속에서, 우리가 과거의 트라우마를 매일 되풀이하며 살아가고 있음을 드러낸다.
작품은 물, 돌, 신체, 소리, 빛 등 다양한 매체를 통해 존재 간의 연결성과 감응을 은유적으로 표현하며, 나와 타자, 나와 자연이 분리된 존재가 아님을 환기시킨다. 이를 통해 관객은 단지 시각적 체험을 넘어, 감정적 공명과 철학적 자각의 순간을 마주하게 된다.
《The Principle of Acausal Connection: A Little Bird Told Me》 delves into the entangled relationship between humans, nature, time, and the unconscious fragments of emotional memory.
Rather than portraying external forms, Song Chang Ae’s work visualizes psychological traces of events acausally connected within the collective unconscious. In her worldview, time is nonlinear—past, present, and future exist simultaneously, and unresolved traumas continue to echo in our daily lives.
Her installations incorporate elements such as water, stone, body, sound, and light to metaphorically convey interconnectedness and resonance between beings. These elements challenge the notion of separation between self and other, between human and nature.
Through this, the audience experiences not just a visual journey, but a moment of emotional and philosophical awakening—one that questions the nature of reality, memory, and the invisible threads that bind us all.
